I believe it is important for caregivers to keep an eye on the child’s class work notebooks as well as the concepts they are being taught in school, the follow-up activities to determine their understanding is equally important. The communication should be open from both ends and not judgemental but supportive

  118. In my experience, certain life skils like - self help; self regulation; respect; coping with emotions; critical thinking need parent intervention and can be dealt in a pleasant manner at home besides school. SMC plays an important role to be a part of making certain guidelines to be followed at home and at school as well.

  119. Children lack respect for teachers and struggle with their emotions. It is important for school counsellors, teachers and parents to sit together and discuss the issues. That way, we will be able to guide the students towards focus and dedication.

  120. Parent involvement can makes learning better of their wards.

  121. I have faced two quite opposite situations: the over-involvement of parents and the under-involvement as well. Both become challenging sometimes because, in the first situation, parents do not let us handle the kid in our own way; they force the teacher to follow only their approach. The latter is also challenging as the parents are not as involved as they should be.

  122. An open and a free space of interaction should be maintained for betterment of the education.

  123. Students who show little interest in studies, are frequently absent and of course the parents who do not appreciate the teacher’s efforts or practices to help the child beg in track.
I believe it is important for caregivers to keep an eye on the child’s class work notebooks as well as the concepts they are being taught in school, the follow-up activities to determine their understanding is equally important. The communication should be open from both ends and not judgemental but supportive

  124. The major problem is that with both parents working, children are deprived of necessary attention at home. They pick up wrong behaviours and habits and influence the peers in school. The SMC members can help by organising activities and workshops to enhance parent interaction and involvement.

  125. FLN activities can fastern up the pick level of children. Which xan be seen pratically in classroom

  126. Parent involved in activities can lead to best productive results

  127. Teachers should keep eye on those students who are regularly absent and try to find reasons behind that

  128. The difficulties we generally face in school are related to absenteeism of the students, learning gaps and ignorance and inability of the parents in Empowering their wards.
Such problems can be addressed through regular interaction with both SMC members and parents.
Awareness sessions for parents go a long way in effective contribution of the parents.

  129. The National Curriculum Framework has high lighted the numerous benefits of Collaborating with Parents, Community & other schools as an integral part of promoting school quality.

The FLN skills of Reading Writing & Numeracy can be discussed with Parents who can help the child at home.Parents are the experts on their children. Whereas teachers change annually, parents accumulate a wealth of knowledge about their children as learners. Moreover, they are uniquely positioned to read with their children in a one-on-one setting. There is no smaller classroom than a family’s living room, and there is no better way to personalize instruction than through a parent. After all, what could be more personal than a parent and child sharing a book at bedtime?

Parents also can be invited as guest speakers and create a fun learning environment

School management committees’ (SMCs) roles are crucial in the smooth, unfettered administration, development and provision of quality education. Teachers can submit their developmental plans , additional teaching aids and provide a conducive learning environment.
